Tarot card meanings aren’t very difficult to understand. Tarot cards, especially the Rider-Waite deck contains pictorial descriptions and symbols that our subconscious can connect with.
Of course every card does have a meaning attributed to it, but the key to truly understanding tarot card meanings, is first letting yourself connect with the cards.
Here’s how you can do it- pick each card in the Rider-Waite deck one by one, take your time to examine it, then close your eyes and create a mental image of the card. Focus on it completely and let words, images and phrases that you can associate with the card, flow into your consciousness. After a few minutes, open your eyes and make a note of everything that you thought of.
Repeat the same process with each card. It’s an exercise that requires a lot of energy, so be prepared to spend at least 6-7 hours. In case you are unable to finish all the cards on one sitting, you may spread this exercise over a few days.
